Tomorrow's the day that Motorola's Moto Maker customization tool will reportedly be expanding to carriers other than AT&T, and while no official announcements have been made quite yet, a new page on Verizon's website suggests that the rumors could be true.
As you can see in the image above, Verizon's web store now includes an entry for a "Moto X - Designed By You," complete with a teal-colored and Verizon-branded backside. device is listed with a price tag of $99.99 with a two-year contract, which is the same price that Verizon is currently asking for the regular black and white Moto X units, but a big "This item is temporarily out of stock" box prevents anyone from actually buying a unit. Motorola's own Moto Maker website hasn't yet been updated with an option to buy a Verizon Moto X.
Obviously we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if Moto Maker really is being opened up to more U.S. operators. With Verizon's new product page and the multiple rumors that've claimed that Moto Maker would be adding more carriers on Nov. 11, though, it's starting to look likely that AT&T's Moto Maker exclusivity is almost over. The ability to create a custom Moto X using Moto Maker is a major feature of Motorola's new flagship phone that's gotten quite a bit of attention since its debut in August, so it's great to see that more consumers will soon be able to let their creative side out and make a Moto X of their very own.
