The technology of HERE is based on cloud computing model, just like Google Maps, in which location data and services are being stored on remote servers so that HERE users have access to it regardless of which device and platform they use. HERE Maps will not become a part of Microsoft, as part of its acquisition of Nokia's Devices division, because it is an independent entity, which will allow them to freely license their service to other companies in the future.

HERE Maps confirmed to support Tizen
