Some Nexus 5 orders will face weeks-long delay

Some Nexus 5 orders will face weeks-long delay
Just when you thought that the Nexus 5 launch had gone as smoothly as possible, the proverbial fly in the ointment comes around to mess things up. Google posted a brief message on the Google support site that order processing might take several weeks longer than expected. The message refers you to the "My Orders" page to check on your specific order.

Those who have already received a shipping confirmation should not be concerned by the message. For the rest of you out there, you will have to remain patient until we get more information from Google. And for the latter, this is a pretty big set back considering that the tech titan was trying to avoid a repeat of last year's launch of the Nexus 4 that saw global shortages of the device lead to unhappy customers who were turned away without being able to buy any variant of the phone.

Moto G purportedly shows its face again in leaked promo material

Moto G specs leak
You know the saying "When it rains, it pours?" That's apparently the case with the Moto G, as the unannounced handset has just leaked out for the third time this week. Following an appearance on Motorola's own website and then in a leaked image, the folks over at GSMArena have shared what is purportedly a promotional card that's destined for a Phones 4u retail store. The flyer shows a black handset that looks similar to the one that appeared in yesterday's leaked image, as well as a full list of specs that isn't quite as similar.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 and 10: Unique design on a budget (hands on)

Yoga Tablet 8 and Yoga Tablet 10

Lenovo is heating up the Android tablet space with the introduction of two tablets aimed directly at the Nexus line. The Yoga Tablet comes in 8 and 10-inch models similar to the budget friendly Nexus slates, but the Yogas get 18 hours of battery life.

Lenovo unveiled the Yoga Tablet in an online event featuring Ashton Kutcher in its new BetterWay campaign. There are actually two Yoga Tablets, an 8-inch model and a 10-inch slate. Both tablets are essentially the same with the exception of the size. We've had both models in our hands for a short period and are impressed with what you get for the price.

Differences between the two Nexus 5 models, D820 and D821

Differences between the two Nexus 5 models, D820 and D821
Just like many smartphones, the Nexus 5 actually has two models. There is one version for North America and another for the rest of the world. Both models look the same, and share many of the same specs. The buttons, colors, cameras are the same. The differences are in connectivity, something that you don't see. The radios in each phone are a little different.

Microsoft wants to sell 16 million Windows tablets this holiday season

Microsoft wants to sell 16 million Windows tablets this holiday seasonWith the holiday season coming up, Microsoft has set a pretty lofty goal. The Redmond based tech giant says that it wants to sell 16 million tablets during the holiday quarter. If we were to look at sales of Microsoft Surface tablets alone, this would be a tough task. But spread it out among all manufacturers selling tablets powered by Microsoft's mobile OS, and  it is a possibility. During last year's holiday quarter, Apple sold 22.9 million iPads vs.15.5 million the prior year. So this could be be a legitimate challenge for Microsoft.

Here’s everything we know about the Nexus 5

The Google Nexus 5 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, and as of yesterday, it’s not only been announced, but also on sale. Beating Apple at its own game, Google had the Nexus 5 ready to buy within moments of its announcement., which was made in a blog post rather than at a flashy press event. As with previous Nexus devices, demand was high, and stocks soon ran short.
Whether you’ve got your order in already or not, here’s a guide to everything you need to know about the latest Google super phone, which of course, also runs the brand new Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

Android 4.4 KitKat confirmed for the Moto X, HTC One, Nexus and Samsung hardware

Google has announced Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of its mobile operating system, and while we know it’ll make its debut on the Nexus 5, how long will we have to wait for it to make an appearance on other phones? Information has been coming through from various sources, and there’s good news almost all round.
Starting with other Nexus phones, Google has confirmed Android 4.4 KitKat will be coming to the Nexus 4 smartphone, plus the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablet. The Google Editions of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One will also be getting some chocolatey Android goodness. There’s no official arrival date other than “in the coming weeks.” Eagle-eyed Nexus fans will notice the Galaxy Nexus isn’t included in that list, and sure enough, the two-year old phone won’t be getting any more Google love.

KitKat dialer could show ads

KitKat dialer could show ads
Inside the new KitKat dialer APK is some code that suggests that ads are coming to the dialer. There is nothing in the code that tells us if we are talking about huge picture ads, or smaller ads comprised only of text.  Luckily, the code also suggests that there will be a way to disable the ads. The dialer in Android 4.4 is getting some love for the first time in, well, ever.

Here we go again: Microsoft and Apple-owned company is suing Google, Samsung, HTC, LG and others
Just when we thought things were getting too quiet on the patent front, we have a new development that is threatening to obliterate anything we've seen this far in terms of its scale. Apple and Microsoft-owned company Rockstar has filed a series of lawsuits against Google and its Android partners, including Asustek, HTC, Huawei, LG Electronics, Pantech, Samsung and ZTE. According to Rockstar, these all infringe on a total of 14 different patents it holds.

Last year's Nexus 4 was a high-end phone that sold for a budget price. This year's Nexus 5 kicks it up another notch, offering the best specs a US$350 phone has ever offered. How does it compare to 2013's most popular Android flagship, the Galaxy S4? Read on.

The evolution of Nexus: 5 years of change

The evolution of Nexus: 5 years of change
Google has taken us on quite the journey with its Nexus smartphones in the past five years. It all started in January 2010, two and a half years after Apple introduced its iPhone and changed the phone landscape. The first member of the family was the Nexus One, a device that set a trend with a surprisingly large for the time 3.7-inch display.

Looking back you might find it funny that screens that size were considered large and remembering how people got excited about a single-core 1GHz chip might also seem strange from today’s viewpoint.

Nokia has secured yet another win in its latest round of patent disputes with HTC. The UK High Court ruled in favor of the Finnish company on Wednesday, in a case concerning patent EP 0 998 024, which covers a “modulator structure for a transmitter and a mobile station”

Nexus 5 camera samples appear (compared with iPhone 5s)

Nexus 5 camera samples appear (compared with iPhone 5s)
After endless rumors, the Nexus 5 is finally here and the torture is over. You can buy one right now (if it’s still available on Google Play) and have it shipped in a few days, but some bloggers were luckier than other mortals and got to play with the Nexus 5 earlier. More specifically - with its camera which is the component Google touts to have improved significantly.

The Nexus 5 features an 8-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and it uses the same OIS tech as in the LG G2. Needless to say, the camera has high ambitions, but can it live up to them?

Google Nexus 5 vs LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4: specs comparison

Google Nexus 5 vs LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4: specs comparison

In case you've somehow missed the news, Google just refreshed its Nexus lineup with a new, 5-inch model – its slimmest and fastest to date. The Google Nexus 5, as the smartphone is called, is here to succeed the Nexus 4, bringing upgraded hardware specifications, all the while sticking to "pure" Android 4.4 KitKat, free of carrier bloatware and UI modifications. It can be yours for as little as $350 off contract, which is a pretty good deal no matter how you look at it.

Android 4.4 KitKat release date, news and rumors

Android 4.4 KitKat release date, news and rumors
Android 4.4 KitKat has been unwrapped
Android 4.4 KitKat is almost here! It looks like we're just hours away from Google making an official announcement on when we can expect the latest iteration of its mobile platform to grace us with its presence.
Having long expected version 5.0 of Android to be given the code name Key Lime Pie, Google instead handed the 'K' release name to Android 4.4 and in a weird cross-promotional deal it called it Android KitKat.
As part of the deal Nestle is running a contest to win a Nexus 7 or Google Play credit through specially branded Kit Kat bars.
So, apart from the fact that the chocolate bar has a space between Kit and Kat and Android 4.4 doesn't. what do we know about KitKat so far?

Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet leaked, could have modular design with optional 4G

You’re nobody in the tech market if you don’t sell a 7-inch Android tablet. Even non-tech retailers have such as Tesco and Argos have launched their own tablets ready for the Christmas rush. Now, a leak has shown Verizon could be planning to launch one too, under the name of the Verizon Ellipsis 7.
A leaked image shows a fairly standard tablet with a sizable bezel around the screen, a forward-facing camera lens, and some super Verizon branding. According to the tweet’s text, this is a 2013 model, suggesting it won’t be long until the covers are taken off the device officially. It could be just in time for the annual holiday buying frenzy, but what will make it standout in such a crowded market?

Nexus 5 round-up: 5 awesome new features, release date, price, specs and all we know so far

Nexus 5 round-up: 5 awesome new features, release date, price, specs and all we know so far
This post is updated continuously. Last update: October 31st, 2013.

We've seen it all - the Galaxy Note 3, all new Android flagships, the new iPhones, and there is just one more big thing to surprise us this year - the Nexus 5.

Google has let it slip just recently, "accidentally" posting the Nexus 5 on its Play store with a very official press image and more details, so we know almost everything about the upcoming device. Let's take a look.

LG Flex event to be held on November 5th, launch starts in mid-November

LG Flex event to be held on November 5th, launch starts in mid-November
Days after officially announcing the LG Flex, the company's first curved screen phone (and the world's second), it would appear that the South Korea-based manufacturer is already prepping the stage for an official event. Reports out of Korean media claim that press invites are already on their way, and the date under question is November 5th. The LG Flex is said to launch at some point in mid-November for the local market first, followed by a probable expansion outwards.

Nexus 5 stock snapped in the UK, tipsters claim today will be the day

Nexus 5 stock snapped in the UK, tipsters claim today will be the day

UK's major handset retailer Carphone Warehouse has received its batch of Nexus 5 phones, is seems, hinting again at an imminent launch by Google. The tipster who sent the above photo claims that the stock is now filling one store room, so the phone is apparently being prepped to go on sale shortly after its announcement.

What's more interesting than the leaked box pics, though, is that they claim the grand unveiling might happen as soon as today, and, judging from the flurry of leaked images, unboxings and brief hands-ons this morning, someone's finger might indeed be getting really itchy on the Halloween trigger.

Apple iPhone 6 with 5" 1080p display and ultra narrow bezel could arrive next September

Apple iPhone 6 with 5" 1080p display and ultra narrow bezel could arrive next September

There have been a bunch of top-shelf analysts this month claiming that Apple iPhone 6 will sport a larger display, nearing the 5" mark, basing their predictions on supply chain channel checks. First it was the WSJ, then Peter Misek, then Brian White, then the venerable Gene Munster, and now we have a report from Japan reiterating again that next year's iPhone will flaunt a 5" 1080x1920 pixels display with 440ppi pixel density, made by LG.

The iPhone 5, claim the sources, will arrive in September, and Apple is putting a lot of thought and effort to make the bezel as negligible as possible, so as to ensure fairly comfortable one-handed operation. Of course, Tim Cook already warned that reading too much into channel checks is not advisable, as there are a lot of tests and prototype batches there. Next year is the big bi-annual redesign of the iPhone, however, if history is any indication, so where there's smoke there might be a 5" fire indeed.

Samsung reports 5 million Galaxy Note 3s shipped in a month

Samsung reports 5 million Galaxy Note 3s shipped in a month
In just a month time, the Galaxy Note 3 sales have ballooned to the 5 million mark, Samsung boasted at a meeting with reporters. The third edition of the phablet that started it all went on sale September 25th in more than 140 countries, and hit US carriers about a week after, so it's been roughly a month of sales.

For the 30-day mark, Samsung Mobile's chief has apparently made a press conference to reiterate the success of the Note 3, where the 5 million number was announced. It is not clear if he meant shipped or sold, but in any case it seems that Samsung might have another hit on its hand with the S Pen-wielding phablet.

Besides the improved stylus in question, the Note 3 features top-notch specs, including the record 3 GB of RAM and a 5.7" Super AMOLED Full HD display, so there is plenty to expect from it, and users have apparently appreciated the effort.

Basemark X benchmark now listing the Nexus 5 as the 2nd-best gaming phone

based on Basemark X
based on Basemark X

As we noted earlier today, it's been a Nexus 5 day so far, and this latest leaked benchmark for the Nexus 5 really serves to complete that notion.

Courtesy of Basemark X, the new results actually show that the Nexus 5 possesses quite the graphical prowess, which is actually exactly what Basermark X attempts to evaluate. The Nexus 5 appears to have performed well enough to win itself a spot second only to Apple's iPhone 5s, which actually isn't all that surprising seeing as the PowerVR G6430 GPU on the 5s has shown itself to be quite the performance monstrosity. Anyway, as you can see, the Nexus 5 managed just over 14 frames per second during the test, which is actually pretty high, considering the level of intensity it mercilessly forces your devices to go through

Apple A7 chip specs and details surface

Apple A7 chip specs and details surface
Apple is notorious for not sharing many hardware details in its launches and instead shifting the focus on the experience, not the tech specs. This however does not mean that the company is not doing a lot of heavy work on the silicon. The opposite is true actually as Apple is one of the few companies that design their own chips. It first started with the Apple A6 on the iPhone 5 where the company introduced its Swift processing core, and one would think that just a year after that, the new Apple A7 chip would ship with a slightly updated and polished processing core, but largely similar to Swift. That however is not the case.

Daily dose of Nexus 5 rumors: announcement tomorrow, release date November 1st, more images
The Nexus 5 has been all the rage in recent days and weeks with wild speculations about its release date, but now we seem to finally have near-perfect clarity. After hitting retailers across the globe, now a Shanghai store claims the Nexus 5 will (finally) get officially announced by Google tomorrow, on October 31st. The release date for the store is expected to be right after that on November 1st.

Lenovo’s new Android Yoga Tablets promise to stand on their own

Lenovo makes some fantastic computers, but it isn’t a leader in quality tablet design. It’s high-end IdeaPad devices do well, but we’ve never seen a Lenovo Android slate that impressed us. This could change. Earlier today, Lenovo showed off its first Yoga Tablet, and it has a built-in kickstand. Running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (Android 4.3 came out earlier this summer), the new 8-inch and 10-inch Yogas hope to appeal to everyone who likes to prop their tablet up.
While most tablets try to be as thin as possible, Lenovo has decided not to play that game. Borrowing some inspiration from Sony’s old Xperia S tablets, the Yoga Tablet has a thick cylinder on the bottom/side (depending on which way you like to hold), which is supposed to make it easier to grip for reading, like the bent cover of a magazine. Lenovo calls this “Hold” mode.  The cylinder also has a built-in kickstand, which is adjustable and can prop the screen straight up for movies, or hold it up at a slight angle – good if you’re typing on a surface.

The next white-hot Android phone will come from LG, not Samsung

Did you think the next hot Android phone you’d be clamoring to buy would be made by Samsung? How about Sony, or HTC? Any of these manufacturers would be a solid bet, and their future hardware is sure to be highly desirable. However, we’re talking about the next white hot phone, one which moves the game forward and becomes a genre phenomenon. Judging by recent performance and hardware, and some well-timed comprehensive leaks, we think it’s going to come from LG.

Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored to arrive with 4 GB of RAM, made possible by the 64-bit Exynos

Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored to arrive with 4 GB of RAM, made possible by the 64-bit Exynos
South Korean IT publication once again reiterates that Samsung's 64-bit Exynos processor is in final stages of preparation before it enters the production line. This time a new nugget of info is added, though, namely that the new Exynos might be known as the 6-series, to differentiate from the Exynos 5 Octa chipset we have now that is a 5-series representative, and at the same time hint at the 64-bit nature of the upcoming mobile silicon.

There is one other claim in the article, and it's a pretty significant one - the 64-bit architecture will allow addressing much larger RAM quantities, and that's exactly what Samsung is planning to take advantage of. The source mentions that not only is the next edition Galaxy S5 going to be blessed with the 64-bit Exynos in question, but it will also sport 4 GB of RAM, marking a new record for a smartphone. This will undoubtedly set it apart from the competition for the foreseeable future, if it pans out, be it just for bragging rights.

Motorola Project Ara unveiled: 6 things to know about Moto’s modular phone concept

Motorola announced Project Ara, the open hardware concept that promises to revolutionize the way we shop for phones. Instead of buying products “as is”, Moto wants to allow us to customize our phones, selecting only the components we want. Here’s what you should know:

International Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets another bug killing update

International Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets another bug killing update
The International version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, known as the SM-N9005 in the geeky side of town, has just received another OTA update taking the unit to firmware version UDMJ6. The update weighs in at 116MB and includes a fix to the reactivation lock. This lock requires you to sign into the phone with your Samsung account after a factory reset, and the phablet came out of the box with the default switch "on" for the feature.

Samsung selling 1 million mobile devices per day!

We know Samsung is on fire, having managed to gain and retain the world’s largest phone maker title. As I’m writing this, the Korean company is selling whopping 1 million mobile device per day. These include both phones and tablets!
Going forward, Samsung hope to get all of these devices talking to each other.
“We know many of these devices and screens are connected,” said Samsung’s executive vice president David Eun. “This is largely due to the fact that some 40 percent of the population connects to the internet. We hope to build along with you one of the largest platforms in the world for content, services, apps and ads. We call this the connoted home, and the connected life.”

Samsung's Galaxy Note 12.2 specs appear on AnTuTu, benchmark shows impressive performance
Samsung's 12.2-inch slate (SM-P905) has been on our radars for months now, and it would finally appear that the gigantic tablet is ready for prime time, or at least so it seems.

A new leak, posted on AnTuTu's blog, gives us a rather extensive look at the internals of Sammy's new device, and the view is very pretty, indeed. We're getting some very top-of-the-line specs with the Note 12.2, including a 1600x2560 pixel screen, a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset, along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 8MP/2MP duo of cameras at the rear and the front, respectively. If these weren't enough to spice up the deal, then an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box might.

New look, retinal scanning, and everything else we’ve heard about the Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S4 barely rolled off the production line before we started hearing about its inevitable successor. A few months later, and the persistent noise emanating from the Galaxy S5 rumor mill is hard to ignore. If you’re wondering what the next flagship smartphone from Samsung might have in store then you’re in the right place. Here are the most notable Galaxy S5 rumors so far.

It may come in January, but probably March or April

LG G-Flex vs. Galaxy Round: Which is the curvy casualty?

It’s pretty common for phone manufacturers to make multiple devices to fill the needs of different sections of their prospective markets. There’s a benefit to offering a well-rounded lineup. Samsung and LG decided to take this idea a bit too literally. We’re not sure if people were really clamoring for a curved phone, but there are two options to choose from. LG announced the G-Flex today and immediately fired shots at Samsung’s Galaxy Round by calling the G-Flex the first “real” curved smartphone. To be fair, we do think the Galaxy Round is ‘real,’ but which one of these bent beasts is best for you? Let’s take a look at the very real specs to get a better idea.

Android 4.3 for international Samsung Galaxy Note II leaks

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s AT&T version leak, an Android 4.3 test firmware for the international Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 made the rounds. Samsung is expected to begin rolling out the update to the end users at some point in November.

The latest Android Jelly Bean version unsurprisingly brings a host of changes to the Note II. They include new UI in line with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4, Samsung KNOX security suite, as well as Samsung Wallet.

The new firmware for the N7100 is available to download and install at the source link below. Keep in mind however that the experience might not be as smooth as desired due to its test nature.

Nexus 5 appears in white again, reportedly arriving on November 1

Nexus 5 appears in white again, reportedly arriving on November 1
Nexus 5 coming 11/1... or 1/11 if you're doing it correctly.
The Nexus 5 release date has been the subject of fervent speculation in recent weeks and, to be honest, we thought it'd be here by now.
Google has yet to announce a launch event for the eagerly anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat device, and the latest online estimates have suggested the company may wait until the October 31 to pull the trigger.
However, ever-prolific Twitter leak artist @evleaks weighed in on Sunday suggesting the device will be arriving on November 1, which is this coming Friday.
Along with a press render of the device in white, the anonymous leakster wrote: "In white. 11/1."

1080p smartphones are so last week! Massive 1440p screens are already in the works

At the end of May last year, we asked if Apple’s Retina resolution displays were about to be superseded by the newly announced 1080p screens, starting with LG’s 5-inch panel demonstrated at the time. Now, it’s time for us to question how long 1080p resolution screens will remain at the top of the smartphone tree, as Japan Display has announced it has developed phone-sized screens with 2560 x 1440 pixel, 1440p resolutions.
Rather than just make a single size screen, Japan Display has gone all out and produced two different displays, one measuring 5.4-inches and the other 6.2-inches. Both share the same monster resolution, but the difference in size means the pixel density differentiates the two. On the larger display, it’s 473ppi, but on the 5.4-inch screen, it’s a whopping 543ppi. Japan Display says that’s the highest number you’ll find on a screen designed for mobile devices, and just to put it in perspective, the Galaxy S4’s 1080p screen (that’s 1920 x 1080 pixels) has a pixel density of 441ppi.

Accidental Nexus 10 leak shows Snapdragon 800 chip and slimmer design

The Nexus 5 has done its best to hog the Google product limelight ever since the Nexus 7’s announcement earlier this year, while the inevitable Nexus 10 tablet has managed to stay relatively secret. That could have all changed today, as according to PhoneArena.com, it has been supplied with a screenshot showing the Nexus 10 listed on the Google Play store.
This has given us a look at the tablet itself, although there’s not much to see in the face-on image, plus more interestingly, a list of potential specifications. The screen will apparently measure just under 10.1-inches, matching the first Nexus 10, and the resolution is identical at 2560 x 1600 pixels, giving a 300ppi density. A Gorilla Glass 3 covering should protect it from accidental damage.

iOS 7 users report daylight saving time glitch

iOS 7 seems to have trouble telling the time following the switch to daylight saving time in some countries.
Several readers of AppleInsider told the blog site that the line indicating the current time is off by an hour in the Calendar app. As an example, people for whom the current time is 6:00 a.m. will see 7:00 a.m. marked instead.
The bug seems to affect only the current time display. The time is correct in the system notification bar and other locations. Alarms for calender appointments also chime in at the right time.
In the US, daylight saving time doesn't start until November 3. However, countries in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions made the switch this past weekend.
The jump to daylight saving time has confused Apple's iOS in the past. CNET contacted Apple for confirmation and will update the story with any further details.

Despite the size, I can't help but want to try LG's G Flex

Over the last couple of months we've been seeing a lot of curved devices. Both Samsung and LG have taken center stage when it comes to the new style of smartphone, with high profile devices eating up the limelight long before they ever saw an official announcement. Samsung was first up, though, with their Galaxy Round, and LG waited nearly 20 days to unveil their direct competition with the G Flex.
As often as the devices were leaked, and as often as we heard some kind leaked piece of information, the final products from both companies were still a bit surprising. You can imagine that there's already talk about which curved device is better, and perhaps that's for the best. It is the way of the world, I guess.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supports USB 3.0: here's the benefit

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supports USB 3.0: here's the benefit

So, how do you move stuff between your phone and your computer, or vice versa? While there's more than one way of transferring content between these devices wirelessly, a significant fraction of users still rely on a cable and the old, trusty USB standard to handle the task. After all, the process is quick, easy, and does not rely on a Wi-Fi or a cellular network in order to work. But with the pace at which technology is evolving, the day when USB 2.0 just won't be fast enough is closer than ever. Thankfully, the speedier USB 3.0 is already a fact and it is now making its way into smartphone territory. Samsung was the first to announce and launch a USB 3.0 capable smartphone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

LG G Flex is the first smartphone with a curved battery

LG G Flex is the first smartphone with a curved battery
Several weeks ago, LG Chem confirmed that it has successfully developed a curved battery, and now we know which smartphone the cell will be outfitted in for the first time. This is, as expected, the newly-announced LG G Flex – the battery was made specifically for company's first curved screen smartphone, minimizing the dead space inside the handset's body by following its curvature.

LG Chem has applied its patented Stack & Fold technology, which does a great job at minimizing the stress on the battery's components as the cell is being molded to the desired shape. At the same time, the company has managed to maintain the battery's high stability and performance. Even with its unorthodox shape, the curved battery inside the LG G Flex can hold 3500mAh of charge.

Another Nexus 5 press image arrives online

The unannounced Nexus 5 should become official any day now.
We’ve seen the device leak in both pictures and videos, plus last week a couple press renderings surfaced online. Courtesy of reputable device leaker evLeaks, a new pic of the purest Android has hit the web and takes form of another press image - strikingly similar to the one we posted and now reveals the backside. Similar to the first image that Google leaked in the unveiling of KitKat, the Nexus 5 will sport the familiar ‘Nexus’ branding, plus the rumoured rear camera with larger sensor.

Micromax will release devices in Russia and Romania this year

The Indian manufacturer of Android smartphones Micromax will launch its devices in Russia and Romania by the end of this year. Already a top-tier performer in its home market, the company aims to become a global hardware brand according to its co-founder Rahul Sharma.
