Looks like the rumors were true. Motorola just announced that its Moto Maker customization tool is now available for all four major U.S. carriers, allowing even more consumers to design a Moto X that fits their style.
Included with Moto Maker are 18 different back plate colors, black and white front panels and 7 accent colors that can be applied to the Moto X's camera ring and volume buttons. Buyers can also choose whether they'd like 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, select a default wallpaper and even enter a message that will be displayed when the Moto X powers on.
Motorola also revealed today that it has cut the price of the Moto X to $99.99 with a two-year commitment. The company says that this price will be available for a "limited time," but there's no word yet on exactly when the offer will end. Moto also teased that the Moto X's update to Android 4.4 KitKat is "coming soon."
The Moto Maker customization tool originally launched with the Moto X back at the end of August, but since then it's only been available with the AT&T version of the device. The Moto X's customizability has been one of its biggest selling points since its debut, and so it's great to see that Moto Maker is finally being opened up to consumers on Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Now about those wooden backs...
