Verizon's HTC One max to be priced at $299.99 on contract, leaked image shows

Verizon HTC One max price leak

When HTC first introduced us to the One max last month, both Sprint and Verizon confirmed that they would sell the aluminum-clad giganto-phone here in the U.S. Fast-forward to today and while Sprint customers can now stretch their pockets by picking up a One max, Verizon hasn't made any announcements regarding the launch date or pricing for its version of HTC's phablet. There is some good news this evening for Verizon customers that have been patiently awaiting the One max's arrival, though, as the big red carrier appears to have let its pricing plans slip out a bit early.
Verizon today held a big event to celebrate the unveiling of a new concept store at the Mall of America, and apparently one of the interactive touch screens at the shindig was flashing an image of the Verizon One max along with pricing details for the new device. Luckily, the folks over at HTC Source managed to snap a photo and share it with the rest of us. As you can see in the photo up above, Verizon is planning to slap its One max with a price of $299.99 on a two-year contract, or $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $24.99 through Verizon Edge.
The Verizon One max's $299.99 on contract price tag is a tad higher than the cost of most new smartphones, but we have seen carriers charge a bit more for larger devices the past. For example, Sprint is currently asking $249.99 for its version of the One max, and Verizon's 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 is priced at $299.99 with a two-year commitment. Now that we've got the Verizon One max's price, we just need to know when we'll be able to buy the thing. The good news is that, if a recent rumor is to be believed, that could be as soon as this Thursday.
