If you feel like you absolutely, positively cannot wait until Nov. 22 to pick up the Nokia Lumia 2520, well, it looks like you won't have to. Verizon just announced that it will launch the Lumia 2520 on Nov. 21 for $499.99. The big red carrier will also be selling the Windows RT 8.1-powered slate for $399.99 with a two-year commitment. The Lumia 2520 will be available both online and "in select stores" and will be offered in black and red color options, though the red model will only be available online.
The Lumia 2520 sports a 10.1-inch 1080p display on its face, a 6.7-megapixel camera with Zeiss lens on its backside and the combination of a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 8000mAh battery inside of its polycarbonate body. Also included is 32GB storage, a microSD slot for adding more memory and support for Verizon's 4G LTE network.
Nokia's Lumia 2520 will also launch at AT&T this week, meaning that anyone that's considering buying the first Lumia tablet has a big network choice to make. Either way, it's good to see that not only is the Lumia 2520 making its way onto two major U.S. carriers, it's hitting them one right after the other. Are you thinking about picking up a Lumia 2520? If so, which operator do you think that you'd buy from?
