Like it or not, smart watches are coming. And yes, at some point
– you’ll want one. You may not like the fact that your wrist will be
used for more than showing the current time, but sooner or later –
you’ll get used to idea.
I know some folks are thinking that “watch should just display time.” I’ve heard a similar argument for
mobile phones
with some of my friends saying “all I need it is to make phone calls
and send/receive messages from time to time.” And look where we are
today…

I would only add convenience to the mix – because it’s easier to look
at your wrist than to pull out the phone to see who’s calling or texting
