If you're debating whether or not an unannounced device can get photographed and publicized, the answer is obviously yes. So it might not seem terribly surprising if the tablet in the promo is indeed the Nexus 8. If the device in the picture is the 8 inch stock Android slab, the Apple iPad mini challenger will apparently have a thin bezel, thinner than the one on the Nexus 7 (2013). And as you would expect, the picture shows Android 4.4 to be on board the tablet. The giveaway here are the white icons in the status bar, which tells us that the newest build of the Android OS is on board.
Now, it could turn out that the slate in the picture is just a Nexus 7 and no thought was given to making the screenshot in the picture more authentic looking. On the other hand, the LG-V510 tablet that just received its Bluetooth Certification could very well be a Nexus 8 instead of a variation of the LG G Pad 8.3. The picture below adds another clue, another sign that not only is the Nexus 8 real, it might be here shortly.
Is the tablet in this photo the unannounced Nexus 8?
