Nokia makes Lumia 525 official: upgraded successor to the best-selling Windows Phone
We've posted several leaks about an upcoming successor to the most sold Windows Phone, the Lumia 520, and now it's official on Nokia's website. Lumia 525 indeed comes with 1 GB of RAM, which should ensure smooth sailing with every app that can be found on the Windows Store, and higher general performance.

Otherwise the specs exactly the same as those of the most popular Lumia device so far - 4" IPS-LCD display with 480x800 pixels of resolution, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 5 MP camera on the rear, and a 1430 mAh battery.

Lumia 525 is running the newest Nokia Camera app with improved interface and more camera options, as well as the rebranded Nokia MixRadio streaming music service, plus the updated HERE maps suite with offline navigation and traffic warnings.www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pv7ijWuY8E

Nokia Lumia 525 will be available in select countries in Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific at a price tag similar to the Lumia 520, which already means rock bottom pricing for a pretty decent handset, whose success some speculated was the inspiration for Android's Project Svelte that arrived with KitKat.
